Alice Cooper, already in the Rock Hall, elected to another hall of fame


It’s official. Alice cooper will be inducted into the Radio hall of fame , according to Billboard, which revealed the 2025 inductees this morning.

“The Godfather of Shock Rock,” who is from Detroit, will be honored for his decades-long impact as host of the nationally syndicated radio shows, “ Nights with alice cooper” and “Alice’s attic with alice cooper”

He was one of 24 radio figures selected for nomination this year by the Radio Hall of Fame Nominating Committee. The induction ceremony will be held on Oct. 30 in Chicago.

Billboard says Cooper is just the second person who was inducted as a performer in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame who will also be admitted to the Radio Hall of Fame. James Brown is the other.

“It’s always a thrill to be recognized for doing what you love,” said Cooper. “For decades I’ve told stories on stage, on records and now on the radio – where I interact directly with rock lovers to share deep cuts, lost classics and the kind of behind-the-scenes stories you can’t Google.”

Cooper was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2011. He recently announced he was reuniting with his original band after 51 years to release, “The Revenge of Alice Cooper” on July 25.

Cooper will also be on tour this year with Judas Priest. They will be at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan on Thursday, October 2.

Also being inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame from Michigan, Tom Carballo (Mojo), from the “Mojo in the Morning” radio show on Channel 955.
