Dawson, a former session drummer from Suffolk, England, has been a long-time collaborator with Iron Maiden’s bassist, Steve Harris, in Harris’s side project, British Lion. He has been part of British Lion for over a decade, contributing to their albums and touring extensively across various continents . His appointment as the band’s new drummer follows the retirement of Nicko McBrain, who stepped back from touring after 42 years with the band .
