“Coach (JaMarcus) Shephard, the wide receivers coach, did an outstanding job of thoroughly analyzing KC’s game tape, providing insightful feedback on how his skill set would be utilized within the offense,” Miller said.

The 5-foot-11, 187-pound receiver from Charlotte caught 124 passes for 1,299 yards and 16 touchdowns over two seasons at NC State. Concepcion also rushed 60 times for 356 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and two touchdowns over two seasons.

Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer made “a significant impression” on Concepcion in the way DeBoer pointed out the Crimson Tide’s tradition of success.

“He effectively conveyed the program’s winning culture and philosophy, illustrating why it’s an ideal environment for top-tier athletes,” Miller said.

Miller said Alabama highlighted Concepcion’s potential as an “H” receiver. Alabama lost Kendrick Law and Kobe Prentice to the transfer portal. Both had been listed as starter’s at the “H” receiver spot in Alabama’s 2024 depth chart. Alabama is in the market for receiver help with the departures of Law, Prentice and Caleb Odom to the portal.

Miller also added that Alabama mentioned how Concepcion’s versatility could be “leveraged not only within the offensive scheme but also on special teams, particularly as a return man.”

“This comprehensive approach reinforced how well they view him as a multi-dimensional player with the ability to contribute in various roles,” Miller said.

No decision has been made yet for where Concepcion will play next. Concepcion is visiting Colorado on Monday and plans to visit Miami, among other schools.
